In the wake of the “New Crusaders” simulated school assault in New Jersey in which “christian terrorists were said to be laying siege to a high school, this story is worth noting.
A group of Marxist students known as the Student Federation of India (SFI) broke into and heavily vandalized a Christian school in Kerala, India. This comes in the wake of a recent court decision which was seen as favorable to minority schools.
Kerala has been run by communists since 1957, and is celebrating 50 years of red rule this month. But times have been hard for the communists since a massacre took place in similarly Marxist-run town of Nandigram last month. At least 14 people were killed when police fired on demonstrators who were marching in support of market reforms.
Just today, SFI students started another brawl when they lost faculty seats at a Jadavpur University. They attacked the group that had won the elections by a clear margin and sent 7 students to the hospital.
They definitely picked the right mascot.
