Recovery.gov Overstates Jobs “Created or Saved” by 20%

Here’s the AP, which looked into the data on those stimulus jobs “created or saved”:

stimulus jobsAn early progress report on President Barack Obama’s economic recovery plan overstates by thousands the number of jobs created or saved through the stimulus program, a mistake that White House officials promise will be corrected in future reports.

The government’s first accounting of jobs tied to the $787 billion stimulus program claimed more than 30,000 positions paid for with recovery money. But that figure is overstated by least 5,000 jobs, according to an Associated Press review of a sample of stimulus contracts.

Later in the article, the AP notes that the official government recovery website is still claiming over 30K jobs “created or saved” right on its front page. (Note the image above was grabbed by me at 9AM on 10/29). So how long before they get around to making the correction?

Make screen shots/copies of EVERYTHING you want to which you may want to use as a later reference.

Information is being edited, deleted, to rewrite history. . .you listed the Hot Air story on John Kerry’s (aka Mr Heinz) latest assault at the library of Congress. I believe this to be yet another example of a pubicly-known masking history. . .like former Clinton bud Sandy B stealing documents.

How much more editing is going on — behind the scenes?

How can anyone measure how many jobs are saved by Obamanure’s stimulus scheme? Someone give me the math on that one. The fact that they overstated the jobs created comes as no surprise either. This community organizer still hasn’t figured out that real economic growth comes from stimulus given to the private sector, i.e. small business. Unfortunatley, twenty years of liberation theology courtesy of Rev. Wright has convinced Obamanure that profit is evil. It’s greedy to make money. With this mindset we’re doomed until the next election.
