Yesterday I posted a long and somewhat detailed account of Jeremy Hammond’s interactions with the law, up to and including his arrest this week by the FBI. Last night I learned that, in an odd coincidence, Jeremy’s father John Hammond was arrested just a few weeks ago for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl:
John Hammond, 55, remained in the DuPage County jail, where he’s been held on $200,000 bail since his Jan. 27 booking, authorities said…
On Tuesday, a grand jury indicted Hammond on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, criminal sexual assault, grooming and indecent solicitation of a child. The most serious charge is punishable by up to seven years in prison, prosecutors said.
Jeremy Hammond is facing 10 years for his hacking of Stratfor and related crimes.
