I’d been wondering about this comparison, but of course I never saw it anywhere in the MSM. From Gateway Pundit:
It took Barack Obama and democrats only three weeks to blow twice as much as was spent on the Iraq War- Approximately 1 trillion versus 500 billion.
Actually, it’s nearly 600 billion vs. 800 billion according to that link. Still, I remember the days when the money being spent in Iraq was an albatross to be hung around Republican’s necks. But Obama has blown past that in his first month! And there’s still the promise of more to come.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering…$800 billion divided by 300 million (number of people in the US) is $2,666. So just multiply that amount by the number of people in your family and that’s your share of the stimulus bill. The government could have just bought every American family a new car. In fact, that probably would have worked better.
