Turns Out That Story About the Stingy 1% Tip Was an Occu-lie

Thanks to Ed at Hot Air for posting this and giving a great start to my morning.
The story is this. Someone posts a photo of a restaurant receipt on Huff Post showing a stingy banker who left a 1% tip on a $133 check along with a mean note that says “Get a real job.” The story went viral on the left and local media decided to investigate:
How do I love this story? Let me count the ways.
- First off, the story is a lie. It was all a careful fraud designed to garner sympathy for a group that has already been given way too much sympathy already. Now it turns out they deserve even less sympathy for being lying liars.
- Huff Post got taken for a ride. The only way this could be better is if Wonkette had been fooled. But I guess you can’t have everything.
- In reality, the server got a 20% tip. Once again, reality rebuts occu-fantasy.
- The manager at the restaurant–who probably works pretty hard–can’t imagine who would have time to do something this stupid. Clearly she’s not following the occupy movement very closely.
Have I forgotten anything?
