Hat tip to Gateway Pundit on this story (click over for pictures of the grisly scene):
“It was very strange. I have seen so many dead bodies in my life, and was yet traumatised. A bomb blast victim’s body might have been torn apart and could be a very disturbing sight. But the bodies of the victims in this attack bore such signs about the kind of violence of urban warfare that I am still unable to put my thoughts to words,” he said.
Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: “It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood,” one doctor said.
The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: “Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again,” he said.
If you’re feeling up to punishing yourself this morning, click over to the Daily Mail for pictures of the little boy who survived the attacks. He was found crying, covered in his parents blood, near their dead bodies.
Supposedly the one captured terrorist (the rest are dead) wants to live. That’s one request that should be denied. The sooner he’s executed the better.
Add this to the list of times when I hate Islam with a passion.
Update: From Haaretz:
The training was organized by the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group, and conducted by a former member of the Pakistani army, a police officer close to the interrogation told Reuters, on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak.
“They underwent training in several phases, which included training in handling weapons, bomb making, survival strategies, survival in a marine environment and even dietary habits,” another senior officer told Reuters.
Unfortunately, all of this may be strenthening the hand of Hindu hard-liners who may be connected to the rampaging mobs persecuting and murdering Christians on India’s East coast.
William Kristol does a little Googling in the NY Times:
Lashkar-e-Taiba…is a jihadi group of Wahhabi persuasion, “backed by Saudi money and protected by Pakistani intelligence services.” He notes that “Lashkar-e-Taiba has adopted a maximalist agenda for global jihad.” Indeed, the political arm of the group has conveniently published a pamphlet, “Why Are We Waging Jihad?,” that lays out all kinds of reasons why the United States, Israel and India are “existential enemies of Islam.”
Wahhabi ideology. Saudi money. Pakistani training. Not that different than 9/11.
