    Almost exactly two years ago, the future looked bright as Sec. of Energy Chu and VP Biden announce loans to Solyndra which will allow them to build a new factory:

    The rhetoric is really out of all proportion to reality. This was not the beginning of a new industrial revolution. The company didn’t make it two years, despite $600 million in outside cash.

    If you add up all the jobs the company created it turns out to be about 4,000. That’s about $150k per job. That’s not bad for construction and assembly line work.
