Templeton Prize Goes to Cosmologist

John on March 16, 2006 at 9:58 am

This year’s Templeton Prize has been awareded to John D. Barrow a British cosmologist who specializes in the so-called “anthropic coincidences.” The anthropic coincidences are some of the most intriguing puzzles in science.

Christianity Today had a recent article which touched on them. The best book which covers them is Modern Physics, Ancient Faith by Stephen Barr. A briefer version of some of the same material found in that book was published in First Things in 2001. Another recent entry is The Priviledged Planet by Gonzales and Richards.

It’s a very interesting topic and one which drives atheist physicists crazy.
