Video: Syrian High School Students Taught to Defend Regime with Machine Guns

According to the NY Times, mass arrests and shelling of demonstrators continues today in Syria:

At least 10,000 protesters have been detained in the past several days in a mass arrest campaign aimed at quelling a seven-week uprising in Syria against the government of President Bashar al-Assad, activists said, as fresh shelling of a residential neighborhood was reported on Wednesday from Homs, the country’s third largest city.

I went on You Tube to see if there were any new clips of the protests and found something that seemed pretty amazing. Though I can’t understand what’s being said, this video purports to be a training class for high school students on how to use a machine gun in defense of the regime. Notice the portrait of President Assad in the background. The kids in this clip certainly look like teenagers:

Has this sort of indoctrination been ongoing in Syria or is this new?
