US Weekly On the Attack

This doesn’t need much of a setup.  Just look at the side-by-side comparison at Fox News:

To be sure you get it, here’s the two story titles and by-lines, one about Barack Obama and one about Sarah Palin:

COVER STORY – JUNE 19WHY BARACK LOVES HER” Featured a photo of Barack and Michelle Obama with the caption: “She shops at Target, loved Sex and the City, and never misses the girls’ recitals. The untold romance between the down-to-earth mom and the man who calls her my rock.” (sweet, right?!?)

COVER STORY – SEPTEMBER 5 “BABIES, LIES AND SCANDAL” Features a picture of the Alaskan governor holding her baby Trig in her arms with the caption: “Under attack, admits her daughter, 17, is pregnant. Investigated for firing of sister’s ex-husband. Mom of five: New embarrassing surprises.”

Hmmmm. Notice any differences?

John Adds: I just saw the senior editor of US on Fox News. When asked what the “Lies” in the cover referred to, he explained that it referred to the lies by Daily Kos. When asked how anyone looking at the cover would be left with that impression, he had no answer. Oh, they also mention the husband’s DUI charge but somehow forgot to mention that it was from 1986. Hmmm.
