The good news: even true believers like Van Jones know that cap and trade is dead. The bad news: they have a plan B.
I imagine Van Jones dreaming up these stupid little allegories while jetting around the country in his carbon-free plane. He’s like Tony Robbins channeling Al Gore. I’d probably even like the guy if I didn’t think his ideas were such a threat to our prosperity.
A lot of people see global warming alarmism as a religion, but I’m starting to think it’s a mental illness. I mean c’mon, CO2 – an elementary compound necessary for most life on this planet, and contained in every breath we exhale – is more dangerous than arsenic? Is this what these people really believe?
Arsenic contaminated drinking water is known to cause cancer and other serious medical problems in concentrations greater than 10 parts per billion. All this hysteria over global warming is because the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased from 320 to 390 parts per million in the past 30 years.
We can disagree about what sort of negative outcomes may ultimately result from our contribution to the levels of carbon in the atmosphere, but has any reputable scientist claimed that this will eventually result in the entire planet becoming uninhabitable? (Sadly, I suspect some probably have.)
This is just asinine…and people accuse conservatives of using fear to promote their agenda.
