Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the classroom, or to say the Pledge of Allegiance, or to read the fine print on your money, Michael Newdow is back in court once again, bound and determined to save us from ourselves (and our ridiculous faith in God).
I’ll give this guy extra credit points for effort, but why is he so obsessed with getting his hands involved in people’s belief in God and how it plays out in the nation at large? I have no problem with Newdow’s atheism, but why does he feel the need to impose his particular faith on the rest of us?
If he doesn’t want to say the pledge in whole or in part, then he shouldn’t. If he doesn’t like what his money says, then he shouldn’t spend time reading it.
Come on, this isn’t brain surgery!
