Done Deal?

Politico says yes:
Senate Democrats announced a deal Saturday morning on a wide-ranging overhaul of the nation’s health care system, setting a course for a vote by Christmas and delivering President Barack Obama a badly needed victory on his top legislative priority.
A 13-hour negotiating session that stretched into the night Friday finally clinched the support of the last Democratic holdout, moderate Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) The handshake deal cleared the way for a series of votes that could stretch until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve.
“Change is never easy,” Nelson told reporters. “I truly believe this legislation will stand the test of time. The lives of millions Americans will be improved.”
Sounds like they’ve got it. Well, I guess this is what America wants, right?

If people weren’t pissed enough at the power-drunk Dems before, they likely are now…
These tools like Nelson will soon regret the day they did this for Obama, he’ll pull all them right-over the abyss with him… and the coming GOP majority will just rescind it anyway-

December 20, 2009 @ 9:16 amWe voted this empty suit into office, now we’re reaping what we sowed. Maybe Obamanure will turn his attention to the unemployment rate and screw that up as well. He appears to possess a special talent at doing Jimmy Carter impressions.
Actaully, Obamanure claimed that his stimulus scheme would keep unemployment from reaching 8% (I believe that was the number). Now that we’re at 10% (and this number is greatly under reported due to all of the people who have quit looking for work) maybe Obamanure will pass another scheme to try and get us up to 12%. The sky’s the limit with this half-wit. Obamanure is to economics what Ted Kennedy was to being a frog man.
December 20, 2009 @ 5:55 pmMy fear is that the Dems will manage to behave next year and millions of “moderate” voters will forget their anger by November.
