Started watching this show season one. My wife and I used to really enjoy it. Now they’ve made a new film with the original cast: The first trailer is always a bit clunky. Still, we’ll have to make this a date night.

Gotta say, this looks like a decent action flick: I was really expecting it to be lame, but is it possible this might be a fun movie?

Iron Man is one of a ‘new breed’ of super hero movies that actually takes its subject seriously, has high production values, resulting in what a science fiction fan (like me) can easily consider a success. I’m looking forward to Iron Man 2. Thanks for sharing the trailer.
Maybe it’s just me and my perpetual suspicion of anything Hollywood does, but I can’t help wondering about the slant that might have been hinted at in the trailer by Tony Stark’s comically played assertion, “I’ve successfully privatized world peace!”
I don’t recall the typical left coast blur from Iron Man, and I eagerly look forward to seeing this movie, but I won’t be surprised if it’s not quite as enjoyably escapist as it could be. Tinsel Town’s communist utopian fantasy is gradually losing credibility, and like a wild animal feeling itself being backed into a corner, Hollywood bares its teeth, or worse, at every opportunity. Everything is political now. But, maybe I’ve only just begun to notice.
