Here’s a print story about Joe’s miraculous recovery from the NY Daily News:
Only one in four people who suffer cardiac arrest survive. And the longer people’s hearts go without beating, the less likely they are to make it, said Suzanne Steinbaum of the American Heart Association.
“I have never seen or heard of a patient suffering an arrest that long and actually leaving the hospital,” Steinbaum said. “This is an extraordinary case.”
He was in a medically induced coma for three days. I’m thinking this guy is going to be getting calls from a lot of churches come Easter.
I’m happy for his family.
