Trying some new things here at the blog and updating a few old ones:
The comment preview has been updated. The new version is much nicer to use than the old one.
Also, I’ve installed the Gregarious plugin which gives us Digg support. If you don’t know what Digg is, it’s a social networking site where readers choose what blog posts make the front page by voting. You can check it out here.
So next time you think something you read here is great or above average, press the Digg it! button at the bottom of that post. It’s a way for you to raise the profile of a post you agree with or want to see pushed out there. (Note: To insure that only real people can Digg things, you do have to sign up for a Digg account. It painless and completely free, plus you’ll be able to use your account to Digg posts at any of the thousands of sites currently using it.)
To be honest, most of the sites that end up on the Digg front page have 10 times the daily readership we do. I’m not really expecting much here. Still, we’ve had a few posts already this year that made the rounds, so who knows. In any case, experimenting with new things is part of the fun of blogging.
