Hasan’s Slideshow

Nidal Hasan gave a slideshow for a group of soldiers in which he laid out the fundamentals of Islam. Much of it is unremarkable on its face. Apparently what shocked people in attendance is that even as he described the Islamic right of “offensive jihad” he offered no clarification, as if he himself had not disagreement.
The last three slides however are amazing in light of what happened at Fort Hood. Here they are in order:
The line about letting Muslims out of the Army to decrease “adverse events” is chilling.

On the “conclusions” slide, nothing he said is outside Islamic orthodoxy.
The so-called moderates never speak up because a) they know that they don’t have a case against offensive jihad and b) if they do, they’ll be called apostates for opposing the spread of Islam and shari’ah.
